According to AJ Jacobson and the rest of his great team at Ducks Sports Authority the Ducks will be getting a visit from Marcus Wheaton. Do you remember that name? Markus Wheaton is Kenny Wheaton’s cousin and Markus happens to be a pretty good football player himself.
Markus is a 6′1 175 pound wideout that runs a 4.45 forty yard dash out of Chandler High School in Chandler, AZ. He has offers from Oregon, Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Colorado, Colorado State, Montana, Nebraska, SMU, and Utah.
According to his bio on Scout.com Markus Wheaton was named 1st team all-region and honorable mention all-state as a WR during his junior year. Wheaton caught 23 passes for 476 yards and added six touchdowns. Wheaton also spent some time at running backas a junior as he rushed for 315 yards and 4 more touchdowns. On defense he had 49 tackles and 1 INT as a DB. Named 1st team all region as a sophomore at WR.
In the Duck Sports Authority article Markus makes it known that Colorado is on top for his services because of the amount of attention they are giving him. However, They are not a school he really wants to go to and is waiting to hear more from Oregon.

If the Kenny Wheaton clip at the end of Duckvision doesn’t get him to commit, nothing will.

Dthomas I agree. That highlight will be pretty special for this kid and hopefully the game being a night game will add the fuel to the fire and top off his visit and Oregon can land a commit from him.

Looks like Markus was offered by nearly everyone other than UW. Hmm…wonder why that is? How fun would it be to have this kid play CB and hear Jerry say: “Markus Wheaton’s gonna score – Markus Wheaton’s gonna score” against UW at some point? Okay, fantasy time over! GO DUCKS!!
