It didn’t take long for Trevor Fox to decide where he would spend his college career. This 6’4” 290 pound offensive lineman committed to Oregon in June shortly after a visit to Eugene. What stood out to him during his visit was the way people acted and treated him. He said it was a lot different then Southern California where he’d grown up. “I knew it was the perfect fit right away. They were also my favorite college team when I was younger,” says Fox.
Tight Ends & Special Teams Coach Tom Osborne was the main recruiter for Trevor. Coach Osborne and the rest of the Ducks staff clearly found an under-the-radar recruit when they landed Fox. Northern Arizona and Arizona were the other teams to offer Fox as most schools backed off after he committed to Oregon. Trevor started hearing from other teams including UCLA during the process.
Academics won’t be a problem with Trevor. One of the reasons he chose Oregon was because of their academics he says, “ I love football but more important to me during my recruiting process was that I loved the scholastic part too. Oregon has everything I want to pursue, my dreams of further education and a career someday.” Trevor states that he has 3.5 GPA as of his last report card and SAT scores that qualify.
Trevor’s career started as a freshman where he was a 3rd stringer on the freshman team and rarely saw the field. His football career was in jeopardy until Chaparral High School found a new head coach, Coach Tommy Leach. Trevor said Coach Leach made a promise to help Trevor mature and develop his game if he worked hard under his guidance. After starting as a sophomore on a 1-9 JV team, Trevor had to overcome adversity as a junior. After starting the first two games, Trevor had a season ending knee injury. This was the reason Trevor didn’t receive much national attention and lacked offers from many other schools. Finally all his work paid of as he was named captain of the team for his senior year, and he helped guide his team to a 12-2 finish where he lost in the CIF championship game.
Trevor received many awards including First Team All League, All CIF, All Valley, All Inland Empire and 2nd Team All State of California.
Trevor is excited to be a Duck and when asked to describe himself as a player, he had this to say, “I am very competitive, I always know there is a aspect of the game I can be better at. I don’t mind practicing and I love winning. I like to compare myself to Jake Long because he is one of my favorite offensive lineman.”
Duck fans, please welcome Trevor Fox.

Fox, Armstrong, Benyard, Burrell. I like the idea of that group of “big uglies” dominating the line of scrimmage in the future. Welcome to Oregon Trevor!
