On July 9th Jeff Goodman of Fox Sports wrote an article on his blog saying Oregon was leading along with Oklahoma State and Baylor for the services of the 2009 overall number 1 recruit John Wall who hails from Raleigh (NC) and plays for Word Of God Christian Academy and D-One Sports(AAU Team).

Goodman stated that the Ducks were very much in the running for Wall and things looked really good for the Ducks to land the nation’s top recruit.

Then the biggest AAU tournament this year which took place in Las Vegas this past week resulted in reports saying that Wall is a heavy Oklahoma State lean due to the rumor that Wall’s AAU coach Brian Clifton will be hired onto Travis Ford’s staff for the Cowboys.

It now appears to be true from this report from the Oklahoman’s Andrea Cohen who wrote this article which is saying that Oklahoma State is now the front runner according to Rival’s Recruiting analyst Jerry Meyer and Oreogn, Baylor, Memphis, Kansas, and others are now trailing.

Clifton and Wall declined to give an answer if Oklahoma State is his top choice right now to the Oklahoman but recruiting sites like Rivals.com and Scout.com along with other sports news websites are all reporting that it seems like Wall is Okie State bound.

Wall is a special player and is a prime canidate to be a one and done player but a player thats being compared to Derek Rose, Jason Kidd, and even if its not worthy, Michael Jordan.
