The Ducks made it a priority in the class of 2014 to fill in some of the voids at certain positions. With Oregon losing a handful of big men, Oregon added some much needed depth in the post position by landing commitments from 6’8″ 230-pound Ray Kasongo and 6’10″ 240-pound Michael Chandler. And with the loss of Loyd, Oregon added some insurance at PG in 6’3″ 180-pound Casey Benson. Oregon also landed a commitment from 6’7″ 215-pound Dwayne Benjamin.

Certainly a class with a purpose, but still missing something… Maybe that’s because Oregon saved the best for last. JaQuan Lyle, a 6’5″ 215-pound combo guard out of Huntington, WV, officially committed to Oregon over Memphis, Oklahoma State, and Kansas. Lyle is regarded as a top 25 recruit by both Scout and Rivals. He was also offered by Connecticut, Louisville, UCLA, Texas, Ohio State, Florida, and many other schools.

Lyle is a huge addition to an already strong class. To discuss this article, please visit our forum HERE.
