The UO women won their 4th consecutive title in a thrilling last day of the indoor T&F championships. They only won one event, 4x400 relay, but they won it with the fastest time of the day and put away LSU and Kansas to clinch the title.

I think so since they're the ones bringing home national titles. Overall, the entire track program (men's and women's) is probably best in the athletic department as of late.

i think the women are easily the most dominant group in the AD. if they can pull off the sweep and take the outdoor title at hayward this june, that'll be six national titles in four years, with numerous runner-up spots in XC and outdoors.

it sometimes baffles the mind and senses that the men only brought home three (i think? eh) in the vin era with olympians like eaton, rupp, wheating, and centro all in the program at the same time... and none outdoors.

Yawn, another year another track championship, lol. How awesome for those ladies to put in all that work and be blessed with all of their success. For those in the know, are they still planning on building the Indoor Stadium on the old hammer throw site by Autzen?

I believe this Spring an architecture studio will study the potential for an underground indoor facility with fields above. Probably with turf similar to the field adjacent to the Student Rec Center.

Some of us are lobbying for a basement design for an indoor track and tennis courts below the future Architecture and Allied Arts Building that will extend from 15th to 18th Street. That design would allow the facility to have a glass wall facing Hayward Field. This concept has other benefits. It would provide indoor training for the Student Rec Center and kinesiology/exercise programs

If you are not familiar with the School of A&AA they are highly ranked. Architecture is #1 nationally in sustainable design and #13 among public schools. Interior architecture and landscape rank in the top 15 nationally.

The proposed building could cost $150m. Add tennis and track and we could see another $200m project on campus.

That would be awesome. Sounds like Vin moving on has started to get the wheels in motion at last.
