Re: Ashton Eaton
Probably but it would be more fun to debate Prefontain vs Rupp.

Re: Ashton Eaton
If I had to choose between those 2, for just track, I would pick Prefontaine, but Rupp would be my choice if you also had to include their off-field personality too.ducksvb6 wrote:Probably but it would be more fun to debate Prefontain vs Rupp.

Re: Ashton Eaton
Not even a debate. He's a decathlete, yet he is setting UO records or near-records in all of these individual events. If he continues at this pace he should be an Olympian and could be one of the greatest all-around athletes in the history of the entire country.oregontrack wrote:Greatest all-around athlete in the history of the University of Oregon.

Craig Brigham would certainly be in the discussion. Set the national high school record holder in the junior decathlon and is still listed in the top two or three. Quit track after graduating and is now an orthopedic surgeon.oregontrack wrote:Greatest all-around athlete in the history of the University of Oregon.
