He says we were rarely stopped for nothing or negative yards on first plays. Sure, but how many times did we get just one or two yards on 1st down? I

Yeah but 2nd and 9 followed by 3rd and 8 don't lend themselves well to sustained drives...

I don't mind running the ball, but we need to be more creative. It was far to easy and far to predictable for opposing defenses. Stack the box in the middle and will stop Oregon from running the ball. No fear of running it outside or jet sweeps or anything that showed creativity. As fans we all knew where the ball would be run. If as fans we knew it, then would have to believe the opposing coaches knew as well.

We need to add more read plays as well. Often times the rush end would crash hard and we wouldn’t even have a read option on the play. We use to kill with that circa 2010 with LMJ, darron and then having a wr be it Maehl, tuinei or huff out wide for pitch out/pass option as well. Make the defense guard the whole field and all options.

It kills me when the box is stacked tight that we can’t do something as simple as a quick pitch to the back. So unimaginative.
