They are talking about it on SVP right now, apparently USC is opening up a investigation on this. For some reason they suspect that things didn't go down as Shaw said. :|

Grab the popcorn and watch this one play out.

Los Angeles Attorney: Shaw Story Was Fake
37 minutes ago
Los Angeles attorney and USC alum Heather Brittany took to Twitter on Tuesday to offer information from her sources on the situation involving Trojans defensive back Josh Shaw, who reportedly injured himself trying to save his cousin from drowning- that report has been called into question- in a major way.

Brittany added more details.

USC head coach Steve Sarkisian said Tuesday that the school is investigating the incident but that he and his staff had "no reason" not to believe Shaw's version of the truth.

Regardless of what actually happened, the facts of this story should come to the surface in the near future given the now intense media attention on it.

The Trojans open the 2014 season against Fresno State on Saturday at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Apparently Teo's "girlfriend" and the cousin that was in peril is from the same town.

Another write up on the investigation. Hopefully, it isn't bullshit.

And it's now confirmed. He was a liar and made up the entire story.

Something i just read on Yahoo (sorry, can't easily cut and paste on my device) seemed to suggest he actually was fleeing the police after a robbery when he jumped and hurt himself. That would be a rather different sequence of events than what he first related.

Yeah, I have read that also. He most likely was doing something illegal (or something he wasn't supposed to be doing, at minimum) when he got injured. Why else would a person invent such a crazy story to explain an "accidental" injury?

Add to the fact that he's gotten himself a lawyer now and several questions start to come up.
