The current gap between the Dawgs and the Ducks goes well beyond John Ross. Not having to face him is certainly better than the alternative though.

They'll be thin in talent next year. Their incoming recruiting class is pretty good at the position, so that lull won't last long.

Helfrich passed on him so hard. Ross was begging to be a duck. How many more NFL quality guys did the ex coach pass on?

I'm optimistic Taggart ups our talent level to compete again.

I think you have Ross and Jaydon Mickens backward. Oregon went after Ross and simply lost the recruiting battle.

Some of Oregons problem was talent However the biggest portion was coaching them up.
Hopefully Taggart and staff does a much better job. that will equate to wins. He is assembling from
what i read a very good staff of recruiters. A very aggressive staff. Something we havent seen.

They're also losing Baker, Qualls, and Jones. While they're still deep at certain positions, losing some of their big stars does bring them back down a bit.

It's been pretty quiet on that front. Think he's probably mulling over his draft report with his family and possibly waiting to see who else leaves early.

Was gonna say, coaching and defense are really the two things that separated Oregon from Washington this season.

Really glad Baker is leaving, as I figured he would. His flip from us to UW in early 2014 made me pretty angry.

I thought it was about his girl friend attending UW.
