According to a couple sources the Cal players and Admin weren't happy about Dykes flirtation with other jobs the past couple years. They may have a replacement already in mind (please not Chip!!!).

This seems like a bad move for Cal. They now need a whole new staff that is going to have to be put together in a rush if they don't want to miss any days on the recruiting trail.

Whoever goes to Cal wont have the resources that you do at Oregon. Including Chip.

I really believe Chip fell into the right place at the right time. I just dont see it happening again unless he goes somewhere in the south with big resources and a top tier place that requires minimal recruiting effort.

Cal is not that place.
