I can understand one incident. Didn't a NBA player once expose himself tucking his jersey in? Twice? Not sure that's a jock itch problem...

That was LeBron in the NBA Finals when the camera flew above him as he was adjusting his jersey and shorts before the opening tip.

Jock itch problem? Lol, yeah right... If Bill Walker can pee in a towel without exposing himself, I'm pretty sure you can manage an itch just fine.

Bad jock itch? Seems like a raw deal.

I'm okay with Merritt telling the media about some of his problems, but jock itch? He should keep that part private. Don't let the cat out of the sack.

Sounds like it was more than just "adjusting his junk".

Thanks for the great puns, gentlemen.

Now if only the Colt Lyerla thread ("the thread that wouldn't die") could make its way over here . . .

I don't know to how to feel about this. You would have to be an complete idiot to make the exact same crime 2x in 2 days. Merritt never had any red flags in is past that would indicate he does things like this and from all accounts he was a good kid off the field. Hate to see him get dragged through the media for something embarrassing like this, if it turns out to be the case.

I went to a small private school (300 kids) and I remember one time all of the guys in the Senior class had to have a group meeting where some of the male faculty told us to quit adjusting ourselves in front of women. It's kind of just something some young guys do without thinking about it.

On the other side, if he really was whipping it out and trying to get rowdy with the tutors, dude needed the Texas-sized boot out the door.
