yeah harkless spent much of this season ineffective to the point where stotts could barely play him, and turner started in his place. we played with a very small backcourt much of the time (dame, napier, mccollum) but it's also when we discovered the collins/davis combo worked so well together inside.

is wade baldwin taking over this 4th quarter?

yes. yes he is.

edit: aaaaaaaaand then the team crapped the bed down the stretch. so many missed FTs. after so many playoff-atmosphere venues the past few ganes this one had all the intensity of a summer league game and portland didn’t take it serious enough.

Brooks beats the Blazers, and it wasn't Dillon. Marshawn Brooks gets 21. Blazers blow 93-86 lead with 6:43 left in the 4th. 42 points for CJ isn't enough.

Evan Turner with the -21 performance tonight. He's so great at all of the intangibles. Some tangibles would be nice.

Napier is losing contract money all over the place. Not sure what happened, but Baldwin isn't helping his prospects.

Yikes. We're still sitting pretty for the 3-seed at least, so as long as this doesn't mess with the team's confidence it likely won't matter. Still ugly though.

tomorrow won’t be a picnic. dame won’t play due to the birth of son, and harkless is now out indefinitely with a knee scope.
Good call.

For a long time playing the Clippers was almost always a painful exercise, but this season it's been pretty fun, always good to see Doc looking sick, chalk up another W. Now the fight for 50 begins with Memphis at home on Sunday.

It would be surprising if the Blazers didn't drop the hammer on them this time around.

After playing game after game with the other team missing key players, the Blazers have to adjust their line-up. A few days ago Moe Harkless went down with a knee problem that required arthroscopic surgery, return unknown. Now Ed Davis is out, for at least two weeks with a sprained ankle suffered against the Clippers. Hello, Jake Layman?

Agreed, it wasn't an endorsement. Swanigan, Leonard's big chance? Pap? None of them duplicate Davis in what he brings, does for the team.

Blazers clinched a playoff spot tonight. If they win one more game they clinch at least a 5-seed, two more and they clinch home court. Fun site for that kind of info: http://www.playoffstatus.com/nba/wester ... mbers.html

interesting substitutions w/ ed out. meyers was the first big man off the bench, and he actually produced. a credit to him for not attempting a single 3.

swanigan -- he only played 8 minutes, and it was against the grizzlies, so i don't mean to make more of it than it was -- is an interesting player and i hope ed's absence allows him a bit more run. 8 minutes, 4 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists. he always seems active and both of his assists were heady plays to slashers going towards the rim.

it was fun seeing dillon brooks do so well.

Hopefully, the Blazers can beat Dallas, because all the other teams are playoff bound, and most are fighting for position.

Meanwhile, Vonleh seems to be doing well in Chicago, 9.9 points and 10 rebounds the last seven games. It will be interesting to see who ends up the more productive player between him and Swanigan.
