D'Antoni: Playoffs don't define players, team.

"I read something the other day [that said] sure James Harden should be the MVP, sure Chris Paul and James have been great, sure they set a franchise record [for wins by] about six games' worth, but they'll ultimately be judged by if they win a championship or not," he said. "Really? It doesn't diminish what these guys have done."

In any philosophical class Houston Rockets coach, Mike D"Antoni would have a point. But when it comes to sports, this is a 30 foot clank. How many rings a guy has is the first tie breaker; and right before the playoffs start, the coach of the #1 seed overall is saying that winning the championship would be great, but we'll be fine without it?
