2nd straight year where they whiffed on a 4-star QB. Going to have take a flyer on some lower-rated guys for depth.

So, is he holding off on announcing Briles as an OC in order to keep the class together until everyone is signed just in case any parents come down with a case of "the morals" and don't want their kids to play for him?

Taggart's true colors are starting to show. He had a pretty good excuse lined up when he left Oregon. Most non-Duck fans bought it--plenty of Duck fans did too, for that matter. Who can blame a guy for taking his dream job? Nevermind that nobody besides Taggart himself has any idea if he was even a fan of FSU as a kid.

But hiring one of the central figures in the Baylor scandal? Even the rumors are destroying his credibility. It's utterly pathetic and desperate. And it makes glaringly obvious that Taggart doesn't possess a even shred of integrity.

Oh, and let's not forget how he threw Deondre Francois under the bus. Francois was getting hit on like half of his pass attempts all year and is clearly playing through numerous minor injuries. When Francois finally relents and admits he's hurt, Taggart calls him out in a public statement. So any QB committing to FSU has to be willing to not only play behind an incompetent offensive line, but be willing endure a public shaming from their own coach when they inevitably get dinged up. No surprise they lost a QB recruit.

Taggart has basically set his own career on fire and FSU's administration has done the same to their football program. He had a squeaky clean image and reputation when Oregon hired him--it's shocking how quickly he's squandered that. Who is going to trust him going forward?

Yeah a lot of the FSU fans that I know are not happy at all with him even considering Briles.

In fairness it's not that FSU doesn't care, they just don't care about women.

Apparently you can only have a negative opinion on the hire if you were there and witnessed all of the shady things that went down on Briles watch. And since FAU and Houston hired him, he must be a good guy.

And now Deondre Francois is officially gone. Good for Willie if the rumor of abuse is true.
