#3 Georgia at #2 Alabama

Post by RanDux »

This game definitely deserves its own thread. Alabama currently the favorite, but I think Georgia will win handily. My only regret will be not seeing Saban throw a tantrum at his OC and DC on the sidelines.

But... does it?

Part of me wishes Oregon's 2019 squad was suited up for the 2020 season. Neither Alabama nor Georgia would beat last season's versions of themselves, opening the door for other teams to get to the CFP/natty. That said, I think Ohio State will probably wind up being the clear 2nd best team in the country once they get started and get clicking, but you never know.

tl;dr - #2 and #3 don't mean what they used to mean.

Looks like Saban may actually coach this Saturday if he gets a couple more negative PCR tests.

Georgia fell completely apart in the second half.

Waddle looks like an athlete on an entirely different level.

John Ross 2.0

Hopefully for his sake, he has a better pro career, though.

He is the type of speed threat the Ducks need to put a major focus on recruiting. We don't have any receivers that would even be in the discussion of the fastest/most explosive players in the country. I was hoping Xavier Worthy might be a step in that direction, but things didn't work out with him.
