Nets/Lakers Over Hardcap
Lakers have a trade to get under (Celtics)
Nets also went over (miscounted salaries) so you have 48 hours to get under (you wont be able to send in bids until compliant)

Re: Nets/Lakers Over Hardcap
Can we start penalizing these teams that go over with loss of draft picks?
There is no way they should get to keep Pierce. He's gonna find a team that wants to tank to take Coffield for nothing probably and then sign 4 rookies and be fine.
I'm pissed about my own situation so this doesn't sit well with me. I'm probably extra mad.

Re: Nets/Lakers Over Hardcap
This one is interesting. With 8 players on the roster, and $9,833,140 of cap space, the maximum (assuming can fill with rookies) that should have been able to be offered is $8,864,689 starting salary. I wonder if Pierce would have left for another team if that was the offer. Although actually, if we leave wiggle room to trade later and don't consider the rookies, it's still only a $66k difference.
This is why I wonder whether we should just allow teams to offer with a scenario at the end where they are over the hardcap if everyone signs and then they have 48 hours to get under or lose a draft pick...since it's easy for situations like this to pass through and way too hard for commish to keep track of it.

Re: Nets/Lakers Over Hardcap
I don't mind this particular signing, I had to just lower my offers to my resigning players to even be able to offer to MJ/Turpin/some other big guys which harms my ability to re-sign some players. (In this particular case it didn't affect me since Stockton is a goon, but as a general principle)dd10snoop28 wrote:everyone turning on the nets!!
