Sonics/Nets

Post by UOducksTK1 »

Nets Trade-
Sonics 2021 1st
Nets 2021 2nd

Sonics Trade-
Grizzlies 2021 1st
Sonics 2023 1st

Yeah I don't want to take the risk of missing out on the Sonics pick, and he doesn't want to take the risk of me receiving it. So I'll take a future instead.

Agreed,
but it's a 2021 Grizzlies pick not 2023

I don't want to miss out on my pick, and to be honest I'm not 100% confident rolling with protected picks because I don't know what happens if it's met.

If its met, you lose the pick in this case. I understand not wanting to lose the pick but if you are in the bottom 2 you will keep the pick.

With this pick being 2 years later, you are essentially trading a potential top 5 pick for an end of the lottery pick if current trajectory of Bagley and another high pick(or two) coupled with some off seasons acquiring players.

I would make that trade as well but I still think you would have been fine this year but who knows how the lottery will pan out.
