1981-82 DASL Season, Day 99 POTM and Miscellaneous Stats

Post by The Bean Regime »

Hello! This isn't an actual article or anything, but rather I wanted to post the statlines of the players of the month during their award winning months as well as some random fun stats for the season that I've done before. Rather than doing it on the sim post in general discussion, I thought I'd post it here instead. I also picked the best and worst games of the players for the respective months, completely at my discretion. I included low-minute foul outs for the worsts, but I'll avoid that next time since it's more fun to see Moses Malone go for 7-24.

As always with these posts, the stats may have mistakes. Due to how the box scores are stored, there are boxes mixed in from not only last season but several other seasons. For example, I can pull up an old DASL box score of the Rockets at the Pacers where Gordon Hayward and Brandon Roy each scored 27 to put the Rockets over the Pacers, of which had huge names such as LeBron James, Derrick Rose, and Giannis Antetokounmpo. While those are fairly easy to catch, it's not always apparent whether a player's performance is from this season or the last. I am certain the POTM stat lines are at least correct.

Why now instead of after the season? I was bored. Unfortunately, since the game's trade deadline is at 100, we're robbed of the days 81-100 player of the month here.

If you see a discrepancy between the players listed position and their position on the roster page or your DC, it's because the game records the position of the player at whatever position he played the most minutes at for that specific game.

Whoever assigns the POTM awards can be bribed, as evidenced by Carroll's terrible month (by POTM standards).
