Classy move by Mastro to wait on the announcement, I figured that's what the hold-up was.
Good hire. Brings offensive expertise from two prolific systems under Leach and Chris Ault. Former recruiting coordinator with West Coast connections. At Nevada for a while, and at Wazzu since 2012, so we're not getting a chronic job hopper. Time for him to try to reel us in a few blue chippers for 2019, like Austin Jones and Sean Dollars.

Fantastic news! I'm very excited about this hire. Let's see what Mastro can do with our high caliber RBs. Also, I think he'll like recruiting to Oregon better than to WSU.greenyellow wrote:Mastro hiring news finally coming out from national sources:

Well, I guess he must be doing something right. I don't see anything statistically that jumps out at me one way or the other on him. It will be interesting to see how this staff works together.

So does/could Oregon have a better coaching staff than last year? Who would have thought that when everything went down a month plus ago?

Mario doing a great job taking his time and getting coaches that are great recruiters, hopefully they are great coaches. Good sign that Bruce thinks Cort could be a DC in two or three years.

Possibly. The guys that were brought on from USF were nothing remotely special.stlDUCKfan wrote:So does/could Oregon have a better coaching staff than last year? Who would have thought that when everything went down a month plus ago?

Sounds like a fast riser. To be at a school like Oregon as the LB coach at 28, that's incredible.Phenom wrote:He's a great hire. Should be able to relate to players as well as recruits at his tender age.UOducksTK1 wrote:Sounds like a fast riser.
