Now that basketball is over, time to focus back on football. A little less than 4 weeks until the spring game.

No kidding...Practice starts this weds. Will be interested in all the reports and
what they are saying about changes to the offense and of course defense.
Its been a very long time when spring practices are so anticapated.

-Sounds like Thomas Graham is as advertised so far in practice as he's been a ball-hawking CB who's always close to his man and can come up with INTs.
-Lovette has been moved back to WR while Mattingly is still a LB.
-OL have all added some size and muscle
-Burmeister, McNeal, Reitmaier, and McNeal are now enrolled.

Moseley and Greif's Twitter feeds and DT's analysis of the first 30 minutes of practice.TualatinDuck wrote:Where did you read all this?greenyellow wrote:-Sounds like Thomas Graham is as advertised so far in practice as he's been a ball-hawking CB who's always close to his man and can come up with INTs.

Great to hear all that. I have high hopes for Graham. I think he could play right away. Him and Lenoir. Maybe not start, but in some plays.
Lovette would definitely be better suited at WR than DB, so good to see.
OL definitely needs it, they could be nasty these next couple years.

According to Moseley's practice recap, Eric Briscoe has also left the program. The 2016 recruiting class is really thinning out.

Here's the recap from Greif. Looks like he was really impressed with how the new defensive coaches (especially Clark and Salave'a) teach things when compared to the old coaches.

Interesting Briscoe left. I feel like there's a lot of opportunity to crack the 2-deep at LB..greenyellow wrote:According to Moseley's practice recap, Eric Briscoe has also left the program. The 2016 recruiting class is really thinning out.

I'm certainly glad to hear that, but in no way am I surprised that the new defensive staff teaches better than the old coaching staff. From talking to former high school players and coaches, the technique from Oregon defensive players was embarrassing. So glad to have a defensive staff that cares!greenyellow wrote:Here's the recap from Greif. He must have been one of those guys Dye and Schooler called out for just being happy to wear the uni. As soon as new coaches started pushing them, he walked out midway through the workout, and never returned.
