I don't know. Both at his introductory presser (see around the 16:30--17:30 mark) and in a quote/tweet from today I hear him talking about setting/solidifying the identity of the program in the context of the bowl game, "we're gonna send a message," etc. Maybe no huge changes in play calling given such a relatively few number of practices before the bowl, but I'm still curious as to what we'll see.duckfan22 wrote:I heard the same thing. to be very physical on both sides of the ball. I think he wants to send a message
that Oregon will come right at you. I like it. He has that sec mentality. He's also
said something about the offense will stay pretty much the same except adapt some of
the Alabama philosophy. Not sure what that will look like. Highly unlikely we see any
of that at the bowl game.

Im hoping more for a Mean Machine style WWE type play to start the game.

Him and Crosby both haven't said if they will. We probably won't know for another day or two.EncinitasDuck wrote:Did Freeman ever announce whether he's playing?

From the practice report...The energy sagged a little at the end when walk-on receiver Casey Eugenio suffered an injury that it looked like will prevent him from playing Saturday. He's been a yeoman throughout his career, practicing at receiver, running back and returner with little playing time as a reward; so that was a bummer of a way to see a senior's career end. Cristobal said the Ducks will try and find a way to honor him Saturday, using a helmet decal or the like.
Maybe is is normal but I haven't heard of a special effort to honor a walkon in his final game. I like MC better every day

One thing MC has repeatedly said is that he wants his players to have the kind of experience that he had at Miami. So 2 National Championships, notoriety and so much swag that little willie would drown in it.

A trait of the best teams under Chip were their ability to practice all week at a high level."I think we're really focused, honestly," defensive end Jalen Jelks said. "Especially with everything that's been going on. Today, everybody was real locked-in."
The team's new head coach seemed to agree.
"The way you practiced today," Cristobal told this team afterward, "if you commit like that again tomorrow, and again Thursday, and again Friday, you're gonna be able to put on a show."

Lol, that would be nice. Getting his offensive linemen to cut down on false starts would be a good first step.duckfan96 wrote:Less penalties?
