What happened to Troy Dye?

Post by greenyellow »

Beginning to think something else was happening with Troy Dye other than dehydration. At the beginning of the 3rd, they said he was getting fluids at halftime due to dehydration and would be back shortly but he never showed up again. It was 60 degrees and sunny so it's odd he was the only one having that problem. Dye has been on Twitter since the game and he's not really saying what the issue was, neither has any of the reporters covering the game.

He and Hanson played like they went on a bender after learning Royce wasn't going to play.

Here's Troy Dye blasting some moron negaDuck troll who accused him and others on the team of imbibing too much before the game: Still think Dye had something else wrong than just dehydration.

Doubt it since it's not like he intentionally went for the head (his shoulder hit Rypien's chest first and his head followed through into the facemask) and he was still on the field to finish the first half.

Wait what? It was two steps and an intentional headbutt.

Sorry but you're misremembering it. Headbutts typically don't involve hitting someone in the chest first with your shoulder.

Plus Dye played after that "headbutt". I'm pretty sure he was in right up until the half. Maybe he was sick or something. If the players wanted to get drunk, you would like to think the did any of the other nights they were in Vegas other than the night before the game.

After the crap they have been through these last couple weeks...hell i'd throw back a few too and let some steam off in Vegas. Big deal...it's a crappy bowl game that means nothing going forward.

Here's to next year, fresh start...and not having a used car salesman posing as a Head football coach.

Also i think it's creepy that grown ass men feel the need to "tweet" these kids...especially insults. And especially when it's recruits...maybe that's just me.

It's not just you and probably most of the people on this board. I find it odd that "adults" feel the need to talk trash and/or insult college-age players.

It's far from a meaningless game. Losing like that and looking like s*** on offense and defense will negatively affect recruiting when you have an unproven coach and play caller.
