Every teams needs are different, but I think I'd rather try to sign a vet for cheap and use that draft pick on a position that's tougher to fill.

So players that are cut and get signed by another team do not count against your compensation picks. Stewart to Seattle could happen because of that, not that he'd be a large contract anyways, just a fyi.
