Nice play by ISM to stretch the play out and make the tackle.

Any chance someone on the team knows how to catch a ball?

I think that's the offense. No crossing patterns, nothing underneath, just deep balls and runs. Cristobal needs to say something or it'll be a long season.

FishDuck had an article up discussing the passing game and they're doing more than just deep balls. It just seems like that's all they have because the long ones are coming open and Herbert is going for those.

^ I agree but we should attempt more than 3 passes in a quarter. We will win by 40 when it's all said and done but they have gotten stuffed on a couple runs that were super obvious. So long as we sell it better against Stanford I'm fine.

Not a great punt by Maimone. Gives SJSU great field position.

Drop drop drop drop.. I wonder if they know they are suppose to actually hang on to the ball. Is Herbert throwing to hard?

Appreciate the article I hadn't seen it before. I respectfully disagree with it. Aside from the screen all the plays specifically mentioned in the article were designed to go deep first with an outlet below. A lot of teams run crossing and other intermediate routes to push the linebackers back and help the run.

That 3rd down they needed 10 and every receiver aside from Kano was 20+ downfield.

Catching the ball seems to be a chore for the receivers thus far this year.

They look like an overwhelming favorite thinking about a big game next week.
