Those Wazzu teams haven’t yet faced a Cristobal team. Going to be a tough matchup, but I’m all in on what this staff will prepare the team to go against. In Mario, I trust.

Their fans will wear out by the 2nd half after not being able to pace themselves for a pre game showEverythingsducky wrote:Those Wazzu teams haven’t yet faced a Cristobal team. Going to be a tough matchup, but I’m all in on what this staff will prepare the team to go against. In Mario, I trust.

Might be a little hungover this morning but the smile on my face gets bigger every time I watch the replay of the walkoff TD. I’d love to hear Jerry Allen’s call of it.

It's shown in the video GY posted, Herbert passed to Mitchell, Mitchell got man handled a bit by the Huskies. He had the first downbut jumped up mad looking for action. Schooler jumped in and grabbed him in an instant and calmed him down before he did something stupid..... schooler is a stud, I hope coaches notice that...they willgreenyellow wrote:
Was literally going to write this after watching this again. Incredibly smart and mature play by schooler. Mitchell looked like he was about to get 15.

Given that UW barely lost -- in a game many would undoubtedly say it "should have" won -- on the road to a ranked team who had an extra week to prepare, I'm really curious about how the rankings will look when they come out shortly. I'm not at all assuming that the Ducks will be above UW. A voter could easily conclude that UW would beat the Ducks at a neutral site.

I was talking to my buddy Lee last night after the game. He's the one that played for sjsu and the cowboys. He thinks Oregon made a huge statement to the nation in that game. They didn't play pac-12 football, they played SEC football in his opinion.
Side note, if you are wondering if you've heard of him, probably not. His first year he was on the practice squad. His second, he blew out his knee racing Tony Dorsett in a 40 race. They may oray not have been trash talking which led to said race. Lol

The only thing that could have made this game better is if Verdell pointed on his way into the endzone, that would have been legendary. How do unsportsmanlike penalties get handled on walk-off TDs?

If it was before he was in the end zone then it wouldn’t have counted, so I’m glad he didn’t do that!dphi wrote:The only thing that could have made this game better is if Verdell pointed on his way into the endzone, that would have been legendary.
