Team better get focused real quick. Cougs are going to be amped up for the first Game Day appearance.

Washington State opens as two point favorites. A bit surprising to me, but I understand it. Pullman is tough and Wazzu seems pretty good.

Classic Trap Game! Well maybe not....

There are a couple things that make me feel a bit better about this game:
1) Oregon is on a longer losing streak to WSU than the UW losing streak. I see this as positive, as there should be plenty of motivation to get them back.
2) Gameday is going to be there, validating how big this game is measured nationally. If by some chance the loosing streak is not enough motivation, Gameday exposure should do it.

I have a hard time imagine Oregon coming out flat for this game. They could certainly lose, but I think that will be due WSU playing out of their minds...
Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

We won't be playing with nearly as much pressure as the Cougs are.

This is going to be a monumental collapse for them. Weird INTs, I'm sure Herbert will throw a bad pass that gets deflected and we end up scoring on it and finishing with another Ducks win against a quality team. The 1st Half will see a lot of points scored and the Cougs moving the ball before mayhem strikes with the epitome of Couged It. It's going to be like 42-35 in the 3rd and then we're going to score 21 straight.

How’s the cougs rushing D? Could see the Ducks come out and grind it out on the ground. It’ll be close for a while but Oregon will win

According to the season opening depth chart the heaviest d-lineman is about 280.

We should control the game and run away with this. I’m pretty confident in this game

Oregon will control the line of scrimmage on both sides and that will be enough to win, though that pass happy offense against Oregon’s secondary is scary. Hopefully Lenoir and Graham stop falling asleep and actually cover their man every play.

Reminds me a bit of the 2008 Civil War, and coming off that humiliating, injury plagued game. No trouble with motivation in 2008. I think we will dominate on the line of scrimmage.
Herbert will have a field day.

We can move the ball on them. I'm going with a 45-31 win. Their QB reminds me of a poor man's Vernon Adams, but in the end we will outscore them.

Ducks now slight favorites: http://www.vegasinsider.com/college-foo ... las-vegas/

I'm hoping that the Ducks' experience in "big" games this year (three consecutive games vs. ranked teams along with their own previous GameDay appearance) will help them here.

I think the ducks win but as quickly as they flushed the Stanford game they now have to flush the opposite reaction and flush the Husky game. I think the coaches will have them focused but they can not be talking about how good they are and need to focus 150% on WSU.
