In brighter news, the crimiNOLES are down 32-6 to Notre Dame at half. Lose this and they have to beat both #17 BC and #15 Florida or else their bowl-streak is over.

ASU is going to take us behind the woodshed and the Beavers will be hard to beat in Corn Valley. Cristobal has not had his team ready to play way too often. Yeah, we’ve got injuries but so does everybody else.

Im starting to see some troubling trends from this team:

- Not prepared to start games on the road
- Lack of innovation on offense
- Not performing when it matters most (ie: Comeback to within a score of WSU, promptly give up a TD - Take lead vs Utah, let backup QB score in 5 plays after only manufacturing 3 pts all half - Stanford game was signed, sealed, and delivered, yet Oregon found a way to snap victory from the jaws of defeat)

Seriously, what's going on with our Ducks? The past few years it's always been chalked up to a QB injury (15, 16, 17) but Herbert's been healthy this year and we're still struggling. I understand we're not CFP ready but this team has Top 25 talent and we look awful lately. Given our schedule pre-season, 8-4 was seen as the least amount of acceptable wins and now that's in jeopardy with ASU coming to Autzen next week.
Chile Duck's depth chart has Oregon at 74 scholarships. That's 10 below the limit. Out of those 10 missing players there'd be 1-2 stars/high level players, 1-2 starters and 1-2 contributors. It's partially a numbers game--every player is a gamble coming in, so you have to take as many as you possibly can to get as many good players as possible.

Third head coach and third system in three seasons do not bode well.

The core of this team is still there despite the injuries and our much heralded Dline has been non existent all season. All we’ve heard is this team is built to stop the run to force thenoffense to be one dimensional. That has not happened this season as a whole. Leavitt is one of the highest paid DCs in college football and is not getting it done. I’ll keep off the O because I don’t feel like writing another 5 paragraphs.

1 quality win all year, UW (cough, luck). There will be no other chances remaining on the schedule. With ASU winning today, that may be end up a quality win if they do. Not betting on it. ASU smoked Utah.

ASU controls their own destiny in the south right now. Beating them would be big IMO

That's too bad because he was really hurting Utah in the passing game. Dye did show he's capable of busting some big runs in the 2nd half once Arroyo found that non-pistol formation plays worked against the Utes.

How in the f*ck could the Ducks allow a touchdown in a little over a minute after taking the lead? The offense sucked, but allowing Utah to march down the field in less than two minutes, and gouge the defense effortlessly was absolutely pathetic. Effort, play calling, or both were nonexistent.

At least will make for a fun home game.

Man Oregon is losing games they should be winning. Hard to watch today. I thought after the blocked punt, we were gonna turn the corner and win, but just can't play consistently enough to win. Our offense literally disappears completely for quarters, and our defense cannot stop the run anymore. Rough.

Wow. That game was rough. Where do you start?
54 yards combined in the last 4 first quarters? It’s hard to win when you basically spot the other team an entire quarter.

It is really hard to watch right now. I think part of that is because our offense has always been elite. We used to just put it on teams early, then step on their throats late. This team can’t even get a first down in the first quarter.

The defense has been suspect for years, so that is maybe easier to swallow. However, this offense flat out SUCKS. Arroyo makes Ludwig look like Chip Kelly.

I don’t buy the “no other play maker” excuse. Redd and Breeland both have higher completion percentages than Mitchell when targeted. We clearly have other players that can run routes and catch the ball, we are just not utilizing them. This is 100% play calling, which results in poor execution. Our offensive strategy is so simple that the defense knows what is coming every time. Herbert has to be perfect to make it work.

And don’t look now, but we still have an opportunity to finish in last place in the north if we drop the next two (and OSU picks up another win).

Nice win by Cal tonight over USC. Helton is toast.

I think when the starters go down and new, capable players step into their positions (Utah's QB and RB), it is difficult to prepare for. There's minimal to no recent game film on them and you don't know what to expect from them and prepare for. That could have been another factor. But our horrible performance on offense was inexcusable.
