Momentum & confidence should be fully installed with the Ducks; the pressure of playing on the road replaced with the pleasure of shutting up and crushing the joy out of the game for the Huskies and their fans. Justin still needs that "game" where he puts it all together and leads the Ducks to a big win. The defense can't let up; KT meet Jacob Eason and destroy him. Make all his passes 50/50's. The Huskies are on the edge of this season falling off the cliff. Push 'em off.
To be fair, I thought herbert put it all together against Colorado. I counted 4 drops before the half and a lot of his throws were on the money, and nfl caliber throws. NFL caliber receivers would've caught those balls.
He did put it all together; but I'm really thinking about a game against a defense that isn't one of the worst in the conference; maybe on the road, against a sworn rival...My phrasing, "put it all together" was too vague. I don't think that Justin as yet has had a game that will stick in the minds of fans for years and years. He will not need to throw for 300 yards, 4 touchdowns. But we will all know it when it happens.

Bumping this thread after this past week's results:

As it stands, the Ducks have leads on the following:

- Oregon State (2-2 Conference): 2 Game Lead, Vs. Beavers 11/30 in Eugene
- Stanford (2-3 Conference): 3 Game Lead + Tie-Breaker, W 21-6 in Palo Alto on 9/21
- Washington (2-3 Conference): 3 Game Lead + Tie-Breaker, W 35-31 in Seattle on 10/20
- Washington State (1-3 Conference): 3 Game Lead, Vs. Cougars 10/26 in Eugene
- California (1-3 Conference): 3 Game Lead + Tie-Breaker, W 17-7 in Eugene on 10/5

With five conference games left (3 Home, 2 Away), the Ducks are in the driver's seat to represent the Pac-12 North and have a shot at the Rose Bowl and have, at minimum, a two-game lead over every single team in the division. ESPN's FPI stated Oregon has a 99% chance of winning the North with Saturday's victory over Washington (per the broadcast).

Bumping this thread after this past week's results:

As it stands, the Ducks have leads on the following:

- Stanford (3-3 Conference): 3 Game Lead + Tie-Breaker, W 21-6 in Palo Alto on 9/21
- Oregon State (2-2 Conference): 2 Game Lead, Vs. Beavers 11/30 in Eugene
- Washington (2-3 Conference): 3 Game Lead + Tie-Breaker, W 35-31 in Seattle on 10/20
- Washington State (1-4 Conference): 4 Game Lead + Tie-Breaker, W 37-35 in Eugene on 10/26
- California (1-4 Conference): 4 Game Lead + Tie-Breaker, W 17-7 in Eugene on 10/5

With four conference games left (2 Home, 2 Away), the Ducks are in the driver's seat to represent the Pac-12 North and have a shot at the Rose Bowl and have, at minimum, a two-game lead over every single team in the division. I believe our Magic Number to clinch the North is 2. Any combination of Oregon wins and Oregon State losses tallying up to two secures our spot in the conference title game.

The magic number is still technically three because if we lost twice and one of those losses was to the two-loss Beavers, we'd lose the tiebreaker against them.

The depth of this conference is incredible right now. Washington is a good team. Washington State has an elite offense. USC is a good, though fatally flawed team. Oregon State is even growing into a competitive program. UCLA has turned a corner and could really arrive against Utah. Colorado has a good QB/WR combo and Cal has a good defense but injuries have derailed their season. Those are the only two “doormats” in the conference. Arizona is flirting with the basement as well, but Tate still scares me.
Find me another conference with anywhere near that depth. Maybe the big 12?

- Stanford (3-4 Conference): 4 Game Lead + Tie-Breaker, W 21-6 in Palo Alto on 9/21
- Washington (3-4 Conference): 4 Game Lead + Tie-Breaker, W 35-31 in Seattle on 10/20
- California (2-4 Conference): 4 Game Lead + Tie-Breaker, W 17-7 in Eugene on 10/5
- Washington State (1-5 Conference): 4 Game Lead + Tie-Breaker, W 37-35 in Eugene on 10/26

With three conference games left (2 Home, 1 Away), the Ducks are in the driver's seat to represent the Pac-12 North and have a shot at the Rose Bowl and have, at minimum, a three-game lead over every single team in the division. Now our Magic Number to clinch the North is 1. Any combination of Oregon wins and Oregon State losses tallying up to one secures our spot in the conference title game. As it stands, Stanford, Cal, Washington, and Washington State cannot catch Oregon.
