OL/DL Jonah Miller enters transfer portal

Post by greenyellow »

Oregon OL/DL Jonah Miller has entered the transfer portal. The former 4* OL had been practicing at DL this spring but wasn't considering the depth there, he may not have been in line for a lot of playing time. The Ducks are now at around 86 scholarships with 2 pending incoming transfers.

This was a strange one. He lost a ton of weight at Oregon and didn't look the part of an offensive lineman. He then switched to D-line and got lost in the depth chart. I don't consider this to be a big deal.

It's not even a big deal to be losing players because there's going to be a lot of players in the transfer portal this spring Oregon could always pick up.

This was not a surprise based on what I have been told.

Ok which is it? Are we losing so many people to the portal because the portal's draw to starting somewhere or is it because we have new coaches and the players who like the old system are bailing out?

I believe there are some that are being told that they may not fit the system.

If a kid isn’t really in the two deep with not real shot at moving up, might as well encourage them to hit the portal
