Big 12: Baylor*

Big Ten: Maryland and Rutgers

SEC: Alabama, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Kentucky and Arkansas

ACC: Clemson, NC State, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Louisville, Duke and Syracuse

Well we have a lot more bowl games against Big 12/Ten. Additionally, proximity is also a factor.

In the early 70’s my parents had a Duck stadium seat cushion that featured the schedule for about 12 years of Oregon football. I seem to remember that Baylor was a listed opponent.

I bet that the series was cancelled because this article mentioned that the future Oregon vs Baylor series will be the first meeting unless they meet in a bowl game before 2027.

Fun to look way back. 1950 was an ugly year. 1958 we lost at Miami 0-2 Must have been a long train ride.

Seems like we have played Indiana a bunch historically. Wonder why?

This stuff is very interesting to me. My grandfather coached with Cas up to Brooks. I wish he was still around to ask him about those early days.
