Lots of nice tidbits beyond the headline, but as far as the headline goes, I wonder if any of you can remember the Australia offseason trip the team took waaaaay back in 1974, playing, IIRC, 19 games. It really seemed to help the team start the 1974-75 season with a bang, as they were undefeated and ranked in the top ten in early January. But then they really seemed to peter out during the conference season, finally going to the NIT. It made me wonder if they just got tired out from the accumulation of games starting with the Australia trip. But I think the odds are that this trip will really help a team that has as many returners as the Ducks do to be even more locked in once the season starts.

Sounds like a great opportunity for some competition and maybe scouting future players. They made a trip last time in Italy. Can't wait for next season!
