Should Altman consider a lineup change?

PG Dorsey
SG Brooks
SF Cook
PF Bell
C Boucher

Think Oregon drops all the way down to around 20-22 after being swept. Need to get back to playing solid defense, which was sorely lacking this road trip. They also need to quit chucking so many 3s since they're not exactly the best 3-pt shooting team.

Guard play is really hurting this team. They can't continue to score in the single digits and have teams pack it in daring them to shoot. Brooks is trying to put the team on his back but he can't be the only option. The whole Stanford team collapsed around him on the final offensive set. Benjamin and Cook are seniors and really need to play like it.

to reference another thread:

and that is why you never, ever expect a road win in the bay.

that 4-on-1 that kendall small butchered may be the single worst play I've seen during the dana altman era. and that's not even taking into consideration the ramifications: what would have been a 5 pt deficit ballooned to 10, and cook picked up his fourth foul. that play was this whole weekend wrapped up in a nutshell.

While this game NEVER should have come down to a last second drive by Brooks, that non-cll on the so-called block was absolutely brutal. No way that should have been the outcome.

Yup^

BTW watched the game again, we didn't dribble penetrate enough. We are a successful team when we drive and pass it out for the 3. I like Benson and most of his game, but yesterday was a great example of why his inability to drive hurts us. He is able to dribble it past the perimeter part of the zone, but either dribbles it back out or passes it to someone without an opportunity for an open shot. I'd love to see him drive it in more and cause the defense to collapse before passing it out. Stanford killed us for 30 minutes by doing this to us.

Go watch Sanders. Benson needs to copy his play. He got into the key all day and either bounced it outside for an open three or got it inside to one of his bigs for an easy layup. 10 assists from a guy who barely average 2 a game before playing Oregon!

Anyway, you're not going to beat a team shooting 69% from 3s and 55% from FG, but if we executed a few possessions a little better, we could have come out with the win.
