Just heard on radio, Steve Mims, Register-Guard: Paul White suffered a concussion against Fresno State and Kenny Wooten will make his first start. Probably should stay this way after White is back.

Yea, not surprised that White has a concussion after how long he was down after the hit.

Doesn’t White have a history of concussions? Or am I thinking of a different big man? I swear he missed a chunk of time at Georgetown with an injury and concussion is ringing a bell...

He had a back injury that caused him to miss a whole year. Other than that, he played his entire FR year.

poor wooten has been pac-12 ref’d in his first start. perfectly clean block got whistled, then an inconsequential/iffy over the back got called.

Cage is actually giving the team some quality minutes tonight!

One of the best first halves for the Ducks this season. A run that started when they trailed 14-12 and ended with them up 33-14 was the catalyst for the 55-40 halftime lead. Not a lot of rebounding with the Ducks hitting 73% from the field,5-8 on 3's, and the Bears hitting better than 60%. Some nice work by Cage getting some minutes. Ball movement has been great for Oregon, getting to the basket and finishing.

I love Dana, but it's going to be a long season I'm afraid.

Didn't this team destroy Cal and score 102 on UCLA? They are a decent team.

If it takes someone having a Buddy Hield type night we should be alright. I still think this is the same team from the beginning of the year and were seeing the improvement we expected. Expectations remain the same: fight for a tournament bid and then wreck havoc.

I agree. The defense has been consistent all season, sometimes that has been consistently giving opponents easy access to the basket, but the communication/ shifting are now rounding in to shape. Rebounding has been pretty good all season. In the last couple of games the offense has become more effective, in that it's more than just passing the ball around the perimeter until somebody, usually E. Brown sends up a 3. They are now setting screens, running pick and roll; creating shots. If Cage can continue his play from last night it will be a big help.

Based on what? The ducks are just now starting to play as a team. With all the new players this year, they are just now melding their talents together.
