Really tough one, Oregon always seems to have trouble at Cal, but I have faith in this team!

Gonna have to defend and rebound. Cal's defense is pretty nasty.

Have we won at Cal more than once over the past 20 years? Screw Colorado, playing in Berkley is our bugaboo. I'm hoping for a split this weekend but would be thrilled if we could pull out a sweep. A victory over Cal, at Cal, would be amazing.

It's not quite that bad, but from 2001 through 2013 the Ducks won in Berkeley only once (2008); two teams that ultimately went to the Elite Eight even lost there. The 2015 team won there, but last year's Elite Eight team lost there again.

Of course, the last time the Duck men hoopsters lost in the regular season after Valentine's Day was in 2013, so there's that . . .

If they never played a game in the Bay Area again, I would good with that. They lost 26 in a row to Stanford at one point. I have probably seen the Ducks 10X at Cal and have never seen a win there either. Why is it always such a junk show down here?????

great question. just an annual house of horrors for us. like someone mentioned above, our three best teams of the modern era -- 2002, 2007, and 2016, our elite 8 teams -- all got swept down there. not a pretty picture...

here's to righting a bit of history this week.

oregontrack is right -- the Ducks did get swept in the Bay Area each of those years, even though I was only referring to losing to Cal each of those years when I posted that. It is really something.

The fact Mike Montgomery coached Stanford 1986-2004 and Cal 2008-14 has a lot to do with the horrible record in the Bay area.

We really need to win our last 3 games in order to at least tie Arizona for the Pac-12 regular season title. If I'm thinking straight, a #2 seed in the conference tournament would put the Ducks in a position where they may have to play both Arizona and UCLA again. Losing to UA wouldn't be as bad as losing to UCLA as that would give them a 2-1 advantage over us this season and could cost us a potential #2 seed in the NCAA Tourney.

UA has UCLA & USC at home and plays at ASU. I'm hoping they get upset at home.
