Top seed in the west is now up for grabs in the PAC 12 tournament.

Oregon's RPI is likely to take a bit of a dip after some of the teams the ducks have beaten are not doing well. It seems like a perfect opportunity to switch places with Gonzaga and be the #1 seed, but I'm just not sure Oregon has had enough juice lately to make that happen. We would probably need to win the Pac 12 Tourney to have a shot.

Unfortunately we play the Beavis' next week and that will probably drop us down a couple spots.

However, this opens the door for a potential #1 seed should we win the conference tournament, and out West to boot.

It is. I have a hard time seeing any of a Oregon/Arizona/UCLA being anything less than a 3 seed of they only lose 1 more game. I guess a lower seeding in a more favorable West regional is possible, but those 3 teams are 1-3 seeds in my eyes.

If Gonzaga wins out, they're a 1 seed. Just don't see that changing. And that's fine. As long as Oregon gets a nice West coast seeding they should have a great shot at getting to the final 4.

I don't see how they get a 1 seed. Their resume is shaky, and history says they aren't near as good as their record. If UCLA wins out, they jump over the zags IMO, much better resume, and a much better team. We may not be able to jump them thanks to bad losses to CU and G'town. But UCLA should get the 1 if they win the P12 tournament.

How is Gonzaga's resume shaky? They have six wins against the top 50 and are frickin 29-1.

I think the only way they don't get a #1 seed is if they lose their conference tournament. Their 29-1 record plus wins over Florida, Arizona, and Iowa State work heavily in their favor.

Arizona win isn't as good as people make it out to be. Arizona didn't have Trier or PJC. They play each other today on a neutral court, AZ wins by double digits.

The committee knows this.
