For them to even get the chance to get blown out by UConn in the Elite 8 is tremendous for this program.

And who knows, maybe they shock us!! :D

They will be very good for a long time. I'm talking top 10 team next couple years.

Lets go! These ladies might be crazy and young enough to give UCONN a scare.

Losing by less than 10 would be a huge accomplishment!

Just lay it all out and see what happens. This is the best matchup for them for the long haul I believe. Win and well, you're the new favorite. Lose and you know what you've got to do to beat them next year.

The women are truly incredible to watch. No fear. They essentially controlled the game from the second quarter on, beating back each Maryland run.

Looking at the Maryland bench and crowd for most of the game was remarkable. They looked pretty stunned. This just wasn't supposed to happen.

And did anyone else see the halftime speech the Maryland coach gave? She was saying things like, "if we go down, we go down fighting," more than once to, apparently, "inspire" her team. But it seemed to me (and my wife) like that was effectively already suggesting to her team that they might well lose. Being down by eight at the half is not a huge deficit! It was like she saw the writing on the wall . . .

I was watching her "speech" with my 12 year old son, who i coach in baseball. He looked at me and said "Dad, that was a terrible speech, it's like she was saying she knew they were going to lose. You would've given a much better speech."
