Re: PK80 Tournament Thread
Seems anytime Oregon makes a run, the Sooners hit right back to keep a 6-8 point margin. Biggest issue for Oregon right now is they foul so much, mainly due to being out of position and then trying to reach or block shots to make up for their poor defensive positioning.

Re: PK80 Tournament Thread
Oregon just has no one to guard Trey Young today. Plus with Pritchard being ice-cold, they don't have enough perimeter scoring to keep up.

This team is hard to watch sometimes. But Elijah Brown is 'effing unwatchable....soooo many terrible basketball decisions each game.
Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

34 to 12 in free throws attempted. Blame it on whatever you want. Refs, clumsiness, inexperience, etc. It's a problem.
We really need Altman to speak up.

Re: PK80 Tournament Thread
It's not really a foul disparity, it's where the fouls are being called. Oregon is giving up the paint to anyone who wants to drive so all their fouls tend to be shooting.Kyle's Brother wrote:34 to 12 in free throws attempted. Blame it on whatever you want. Re: PK80 Tournament Thread
Oregon has bad on-ball defense, resulting in a lot of easy drives that Oregon compounds by reaching and poor block attempts. Altman has been harping on this poor defensive effort for much of the preseason and it hasn't changed much.Kyle's Brother wrote:34 to 12 in free throws attempted. Blame it on whatever you want. Perhaps Dana's only weakness is meekness when it comes to working the refs...glad we have him and not someone like Bobby Hurley tho..Kyle's Brother wrote:34 to 12 in free throws attempted. Blame it on whatever you want. Refs, clumsiness, inexperience, etc. It's a problem.

Not a good sight seeing Troy Brown down. Looks like a potential concussion after running into McIntosh.

Re: PK80 Tournament Thread
I completely agree. Coaches like Hurley and Boyle are absolute scum. But there's a middle ground that would mean we get evenly officiated games once in a while.bigsugarduck wrote:Perhaps Dana's only weakness is meekness when it comes to working the refs...glad we have him and not someone like Bobby Hurley tho..Kyle's Brother wrote:34 to 12 in free throws attempted. Re: PK80 Tournament Thread
Surprised it's even this close with the FT disparity. Oregon has a lot of work to go before conference play starts.
