Pritchard misses the second free throw to leave us down 1. I do not trust his clutch as much as I used to. Cougs go to the line with 4.7 left.

PP has been missing FTs at inopportune times. Needed him to step up there.

Cougs hit the first free throw and miss the second, our ball with 4 seconds left. Timeout.

And Flynn misses one and Oregon calls a TO. Can't believe they could win still.

Taking out K. SMith was a mistake.

Pritchard airballs the three and we lose by two. This team just does not have what it takes this year.

Looks like NIT this season with that loss. Really inexcusable how bad they played at times, especially on defense.

With Miller back at Zona, don’t see Ducks winning the PAC-12 tourney. NIT, here come the Ducks. Not a good loss.

Atrocious 2nd half defense gave WSU that lead we had to dig out of. Flynn hit some "bad" shots, but it was a lot of terrible, terrible defense.
Kenny Wooten needs to learn that he doesn't need to jump 50 feet in the air when some WSU scrub post player up fakes. Paul White needs to hit the jump rope in the offseason. Slow feet.
And Payton needs to close games, he didn't today.
Keith Smith played pretty well. Troy Brown played well in the 1st half. That's about it.
Go Ducks.

if it helps sweeping this weekend and getting all the way to the championship in vegas still wouldn’t be enough to get into the tourney. we’ve been an automatic bid-or-NIT since we were swept in LA.

The back to back 3's where Sorkin half-ass hedged onto a red hot Flynn were just killers.greenyellow wrote:Looks like NIT this season with that loss. Really inexcusable how bad they played at times, especially on defense.
The last 5 minutes we played decent defense outside of the inexplicable lay-in Wooten gave up. The rest of the game, the defense was lacking intensity of the last 5 minutes. The team just doesn't get that you have to play like it's the last possession for 40 minutes on defense.

It would have absolutely put them in. RPI would be in the 40's with that run with 24 wins. Doesn't matter now ofc.Thurston wrote:if it helps sweeping this weekend and getting all the way to the championship in vegas still wouldn’t be enough to get into the tourney. we’ve been an automatic bid-or-NIT since we were swept in LA.

NIT? That was a horrible loss. RPI was already at 70 and that should do some damage. if they don’t win on Saturday they will finish 7th in the conference. I think they need to win the UW game and a few conference tourney games to even get a shot at a NIT bid. AZ, ASU.and USC will end up in the tourney. That leaves us battling UW, Utah, and UCLA for NIT bids. All those teams have better RPIs and SOSs and will finish above us in conference play. Is the CBI still around?

rpi climbing to the 40s is highly debatable. lots of teams are going to be picking up nice wins here in the next two weeks. only one of those 24 wins of ours would have been against a top 25 team. the resume just wouldn’t be there.GrantDuck wrote:It would have absolutely put them in. it’s like that year we went to the sweet 16 as a 12 seed. we finished 2nd in the pac 12 and had 25 wins going into the conference championship game and had we lost, we were NIT bound.
