I don't know if I can stomach this one. Staying up until 2:30 last night to watch that abomination was really, really tough.

Generally speaking, I do think there is a slight advantage in these second round matchups to the team that played the day before, because it has its "legs" under it in the tournament, hopefully worked out some kinks, etc., whereas the team playing its first game of the tourney comes in "cold." Doesn't mean the Ducks win tonight, but I think it's one thing in their corner.

Only one team the last two years has won as a lower seed on the 2nd day (And that was a 5 seed Cal team over a 4 seed Stanford team by 3 points).

C'mon, TK, we don't need to bring actual research into this. Besides, I'm sure a big reason all of those lower seeded teams lost on the second day the last two years is because they just didn't realize what an advantage they had!

Ha! It really comes down to how badly the guys want it. We are obviously not a very talented team, but if we play with full effort and high IQ, we win. If not, I think Utah pushes us around.

The conference is so bad across the board this year. It feels like anyone can win any game at any time. Utah doesn't seem like a scary team. But neither does WSU, and they almost beat us twice in a row. Who knows.

Part of the reason for this is because no Altman-coached teams were lower seeds the last two years.

Man, this team is so hard to watch. They just seem to have no idea how to run an offense.

Refs are just letting them hack one another down low.

Agreed. So many passes with no purpose. Such a far cry from last year, where the passes created opportunities and broke down the defense.

Keith Smith can't possibly still be at Oregon next year, can he?

Might be easier to identify who doesn’t have 2 fouls on Oregon at this point.
