Woohoo another game I can watch! If they play the entire game like they did in the second half against Rider, they will win. Will we get that team though? This Oregon team is like a box of chocolates, you never know which one you’re gonna get.

Their game against Harvard went to double OT.

Silver lining: We never have to watch Elijah Brown play again after today.

MU's Rowsey has gone off on them from three, hitting 6 of them already midway through the 2nd quarter. That's kind of what I was afraid of since Marquette shoots and makes a lot of threes.

Think this game is pretty much over as Marquette is up 20 at halftime. They've made 10 threes compared to Oregon's one. Only good thing is they've attempted 18 FTs and made 7 more than MU, which is a lot for them in a half.

There is that. This team never played together. Dana could not get them to buy in.Kyle's Brother wrote:Silver lining: We never have to watch Elijah Brown play again after today.

I love that we are saying this about a 23-win team. Oregon basketball has come a long way.Bigwaved wrote: There is that. This team never played together. Dana could not get them to buy in.

23 wins with a very weak schedule.

You are correct that they won 23. Take a look at the wins and losses while you are at it. The Pac-12 won zero games in the NCCA Tournament. This team went 10-8 in a down year in the league. My point is what the product on the floor looked like. If you think it had the hallmarks of an Altman coached team this year, then we watched different teams somehow.Phalanx wrote:I love that we are saying this about a 23-win team. Not trying to start an argument (far be it from me!), just noting that even in a down year, the ducks still win 23. The program has definitely improved since I was a kid watching them in the 80's.
I think they mostly looked like a bunch of freshman and transfers that were cobbled together at the last minute...in other words, a lot like how most Oregon teams should probably have looked, but for Altman's outstanding coaching. This year, I agree, somehow they never seemed to get it. Or maybe, they just aren't that good.

Oregon has made a bit of a run the last 5 minutes (down only 13) but probably too little too late.

Down 11 with 2 minutes to play. Likely only happening because Marquette lost 2 starters due to fouls and has tried to take the air out of the ball.

It's too bad we won't have MiKyle McIntosh next year. I've enjoyed watching him do his thing this season.
