Sweet 16 #11 Central Michigan. vs #2 Oregon (3:30 3-24 ESPN)

Post by Merganzer »

The Chippewas defeated LSU 78-69 for their first NCAA win and their 95-78 win over Ohio State in Columbus stops the Buckeyes from having the opportunity of coming back to their home court for the Final Four and Championship game. Oregon beat Seattle 88-45 and Minnesota 101-73. Early scouting report: The Chippewas offense is similar to that of the Golden Gophers, lots of 3's.

Well given the lack of effort guarding the three line for most of the game with minny, I sure hope the ladies are shooting well enough to overcome that weakness. Pretty sure they will. Hope they get to play Notre Dame. Can't think of a team I'd rather see them beat the hell out of more than ND...

Coeur D' Alene, Idaho is a great and beautiful drive from Spokane out 90. Great little mountain town and a beautiful lake. Half an hour or so.

End of first qtr Ducks up 24-12. They need to challenge the 3 pt shooters and to have someone under the basket when they shoot. Szeveral times there has been only C. MIch players so no put back points those time. THey are looking feisty, quick and tough.

Ducks up 40-25 w CMU hitting a 3 as the half ended. Hebard killing it today. Bando handling the ball more than usual. Fewest 1st half points this season for CMU. Go Ducks!
