MJ Cage transferring

In a move most saw coming, MJ Cage is transferring from the program. That leaves Pritchard as the only member from the 2016 class remaining on the team. Altman now has 4 scholarships to work with for the upcoming season. I think he ends up going with 2 grad transfers and 1 more HS recruit, saving a scholarship for the 2019 class since they only have one SR (White) on the roster.

Yeah, nothing surprising. Somehow I always thought he was capable of contributing more had he gotten the chance.

I think he was still too raw to contribute a bunch last year, but he definitely has room to grow.

Could be pretty good in a couple of years, but he's just not going to play here in the meantime.

Best of luck to him, glad he stuck around this year with the team.

I do hope we find the right grad transfers this season.

Seemed like he just hadn’t grown into his body yet. Like a clumsy puppy, so gangly. I really think he would have developed a ton and given us some depth in the next couple years.

He's headed to Pepperdine, where he'll join up with Keith Smith again.

When we first got his commitment an Arizona fan told me he had heard that they had stopped recruiting him because he was too soft to play the post in the Pac 12. I took it as sour grapes, but I think he was right.

I'd still love to see him turn into a player. He and Smith both have unlimited potential because of their frames, but I doubt either ever would have contributed for us.

I hope he does well.
