Bol Bol in walking boot
Obviously not playing tonight vs. BSU.
CRAP! So looking forward to seeing him and the Ducks in person for the first time and THIS happens! Obviously hope it's not too serious.

The team just can't catch a break with injuries to the FR. Richardson, King, and Bol have all now been injured and not at full-strength at the same time.

He’s gonna be out for the season. Foot injuries for a guy that big with serious NBA prospects, for his sake, he should shut it down.

Wow! Didn't know an injury to a person in a walking boot could be diagnosed as season-ending by someone seeing him from afar and with no further information.

Oregon has always been cursed with injuries. Injuries have kept us from national championships in football and basketball. Boucher, Dixon, and Ifo just to name a few.

The fact that Altman burned Norris’ redshirt tonight speaks volumes. I don’t like the feeling I have right now. Ugh.

According to Altman, Bol's injury and Norris playing are unrelated. He said that Norris and his family talked to him this week and said he'd rather play limited minutes than redshirt.northbeachsf wrote:The fact that Altman burned Norris’ redshirt tonight speaks volumes. I think redshirting is stupid for top 100 guys anyway. Rarely will those players ever see a 5th year in the same program.greenyellow wrote:According to Altman, Bol's injury and Norris playing are unrelated. With both Kigab and Bol out, I think that the roles of King, Norris, and Okoro must increase. Seems King is still on minutes restriction but they need to get him into the starting lineup eventually so this may the time.

Re: Bol Bol in walking boot
Praying Bol's injury is at WORST a 4-6 weeks kinda thing.
Obviously hurts the team, but also I just enjoy the hell out of watching the kid play!
Reading what I can..in the past when players have been out for the season, Altman has come right out and said so. However, when it's they're coming back right away...he tends to say that too; so somewhere between a couple of weeks and a few months(obviously a big range here) is probably what we're looking at. Broken foot, ankle sprain(high or low)...all possibilities.
Fingers crossed.

Me too, I find it troubling and honestly kind of strange that Altman is being so hush-hush about the whole thing.nogerO wrote:“I’ve got a bad feeling about this...”

Could be the shortest college career ever for a one and done.
