Kenny Wooten broken jaw

Post by greenyellow »

Not sure if he's joking or not, but Wooten said he's got a broken jaw from last night's game. If so, Oregon has had some really bad luck when it comes to injuries this season.

Doesn't look like he's joking. Dang, he was what made watching games fun.

Looks like he's since deleted the tweet. Wonder what's going on with that.

"A source confirmed the injury to The Register-Guard. It is unclear how long Wooten will be out, but it seems likely he will have to miss at least one month before returning to the court."

Unless they either Bol or Kigab back from injury, they'll be down to 8 healthy scholarship players for the Boise game.

Ouch. At least it gives some of the younger dudes some more playing time (Okoro / Norris).

This season has gone downhill in a hurry. With so many injuries to key players and not much depth, I'm not sure if Altman can get this team playing at a level good enough to qualify for post-season. It's really a shame because this team has a lot of talented players but just hasn't had any time to actually play together.

Haven't been this bummed about a hoops season failing to meet expectations since the Ernie days. Combination of bad luck(mostly) and lack of development(Paul White, freshman/sophomores coming along slowly).

There's always a shot that we get everyone healthy in March and pull something off, but less continuity is going to make that all the more difficult to do.
