Looks like the wonen’s Team took advice from the men’s team. This isn’t the team we’re used to.

Watching the men's team must have dropped their basketball IQ a few notches.OregonFan4Life wrote:Looks like the wonen’s Team took advice from the men’s team. This isn’t the team we’re used to.
The play right now is a little too similar to theirs than what it used to be.

Beavs owned the first half, and all things considering a 6 point deficit isn’t bad at all. Oregon needs to relax as they’re rushing shots, once they do some more shots will drop. My biggest worry right now is Hebard, if she can’t return this’ll be really difficult to come back and win.

Fortunately our 2 worst scoring quarters of the season only see us down by 6 points at half time. Let's not act like everything is on fire now.

Credit to the Beavers for playing well, shooting, and making 3's, and their defense has really kept the Ducks out of transition and in to a half court game, which, not to make excuses, but without Hebard, the Ducks are struggling in. All things considered? Down by 6 at half is pretty good. Looks like I channeled OregonFan4Life

The Beavs are making everything hard for the ducks on offense but the ducks are certainly doing themselves no favors. Maybe the ducks came in over confident after just beating the Beavs but it doesn’t feel like they’re playing with the normal energy and off-ball movement they usually do.

also doesn't help the beavs are miraculously making everything with a couple of seconds left, from their knees or halfcourt it seems like.
Sabrina looks frustrated.
This game is going fast, although the beavers have slowed the tempo to a halt.

Beavs getting lots of offensive rebounds right now too. If we aren't gonna play good defense, we gotta at least grab the rebound.

Not only that but every loose ball and rebound is going their way too.shoparound wrote:also doesn't help the beavs are miraculously making everything with a couple of seconds left, from their knees or halfcourt it seems like.

I don’t mean to take credit from the Beavs but luck is 100% on their side tonight. Sometimes it’s better to be the luckier team than the better team and I feel that’s what’s happening tonight.

OSU has 11 turnovers to Oregon's 1 and the Beavs are only outrebounding Oregon by 6, with Oregon having 3 more offensive rebounds than them. Main thing hurting the Ducks is their poor shooting, hitting at only 39% while OSU is at 52%.

So they cut the gap to just 2 after 3 but Grymek will come back in after picking up a quick 3rd foul and sitting for most of the quarter. It was good to see Boley hit that 3 because it hasn't been Sabrina's night shooting so far. I almost wonder if we should play Satou as PG and let SI play off since Satou had success getting in the lane and finishing. It's going to be a good finish!
