Huh, when you put it in terms of record, it doesn't seem like much of a difference, does it?Merganzer wrote:5 Wisconsin 23-10

Not much. In the last 8 games: Oregon 8-0, Wisconsin 6-2.Phalanx wrote:Huh, when you put it in terms of record, it doesn't seem like much of a difference, does it?Merganzer wrote:5 Wisconsin 23-10

The badgers conference record was 14-6 in a stronger conference, FWIW. ESPN gives Wisconsin a 68.6% chance of beating us, but I've seen the point spread at -2.0 (wisc) to a pick'em game. Can't wait to watch it!

Interesting note....over the past 8 games, Oregon is ranked No. 2 in the ENTIRE NCAA in adjusted defensive efficiency. Guess who is No. 1. Yep, Wisconsin. This should be an awesome game!
And take the under if it is more than 100.

Yeah we have by far the closest spread among the 5-12 games.
My big concern is that their defensive efficiency numbers are elite, 4th in the country IIRC. If we're going to overcome that defense we're going to need to be crisp offensively and get points off turnovers.

Per KenPom Wisconsin is the best #5 seed and we are the best #12 seed.

It's pretty much a pick'em game. Last I saw, the Ducks, after opening as slight 'dogs, are now slight favorites.

Rough matchup for us. Our offense is gonna struggle.

Rough? I'm not sure how its rough when it's a toss up from Vegas...Oregon is not really defined by offense anyways. Effort, defense, and transition are not hurt by half court defense. Is it going to be a frustrating game to watch? Yeah probably...but they have a great chance at winning if they play like they have been...UOducksTK1 wrote:Rough matchup for us. Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

Sure, but still would rather play Auburn or Miss State.bigsugarduck wrote:Rough? I'm not sure how its rough when it's a toss up from Vegas...Oregon is not really defined by offense anyways. Mississippi State? Yes. Auburn? They're playing on fire right now.UOducksTK1 wrote:Sure, but still would rather play Auburn or Miss State.bigsugarduck wrote:Rough? I'm glad we're playing on Friday and not Thursday. I bet the team is too for an extra days recovery and scouting.
