QUACK! WBB lands 4* 2020 SG Maddie Scherr

Post by greenyellow »

Kelly Graves continues to capitalize on his team's Final Four run by landing 4* 2020 SG Maddie Scherr, the #25 player in the country. All members of the 2020 class are now ranked in the top 50 of ESPN's women's basketball recruiting rankings. They still have room for 2 more players, with post players such as Kylee Watson and Lauren Ware being key targets.

Kelly doing a great job recruiting with a much needed big class after Ruthy and Sabrina leave after next season. Hopefully they get one or two more recruits to commit

Love how all these guards Oregon is getting seem to play....Lots of skill, lots of silky shooting, lots of unselfish passing. None appear to be overwhelming athletes, but that is okay, passing and court smarts usually always win (e.g. look as Oregon v UCLA that last 2-3 years)

What made Oregon sooooo filthy good last year was the 3 point % from everyone except Ruthy, and spreading the floor for Ruthy to make damn near 70%. So keep that philosophy a coming!

If I was a post player, seeing what Ruthy has done in her career should make Oregon VERY attractive. Get one of the top 20 bigs and this class will be crazy....

Next year Oregon is going to be just bonkers....
Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."
