Had a sudden sense of dread, then I remembered we lost to Texas Southern last year, not Arlington.

This season should be interesting as we look to be way ahead of our normal schedule. Even the final four team started the year pretty slow, and didn’t look like they were going to turn into the squad they did.
It’s hard to know what their potential is at this point but this could Altman’s first team that starts the season on a tear, rather than waiting until the back half to flip the switch.

Didn't the Elite Eight team start off really well?dthomas=ddixon wrote:This season should be interesting as we look to be way ahead of our normal schedule. Even the final four team started the year pretty slow, and didn’t look like they were going to turn into the squad they did.

It was even better than that, 2013-14, 16-0 start. First loss was 2nd conference game. They started 1-5 in conference play, than 2-3, then 7-0, for 10-8. Won the first game in conference tourn. and lost 2nd. Won first game in NCAA to BYU, lost 2nd to Wisconsin.Thurston wrote:The Mike Moser team started 13-0.

So happy it's a minor injury. We will need his scoring in the bigger matchups.Merganzer wrote:

I think they should likely get by without Duarte against UT Arlington.

Ugh I remember that game, when Oregon’s NCAA tourney rebounding woes started. Wisconsin got like 3 offensive rebounds down two really late in the game and eventually hit a three to take a lead. If Oregon would’ve just gotten one rebound, they most likely would’ve pulled off the huge upset.Merganzer wrote:It was even better than that, 2013-14, 16-0 start. First loss was 2nd conference game. Defense ruled in this one to for the Ducks, beating UTA, 67-47. It started out pretty sloppy, but tied at 16 the Ducks went on a run, led by as much as 18, but ended up with a 9 point lead at halftime, 37-28. The Ducks went on a 10- 0 run to end the game. Pritchard finished with 24 points & 8 rebounds. The best sight of the game was N'Faly Dante, looked like he was sitting courtside, watching the game.

NCAA has about a month to clear Dante.
No news on it yet, but great that he's still engaged with the program.

You have to think they feel good about his chances to play. Since I believe he has to pay his own way to Eugene right now, just to watch them play UTA.GrantDuck wrote:NCAA has about a month to clear Dante.

To me the best part of this game was CJ Walker. It was the best he has looked. Most everyone else, even PP3, will be deleting this game off their DVR. Nice when you can say that about a 20 point win.
