Huge win. ¹ seed in Portland looking to be nearly locked up...
Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

I didn't know that the women hadn't won there since 2010.

And a foul on Sabaly was called despite the Beav being a foot inside the restricted zone. Great D by the Ducks; Beavs score 20, in the 2nd half.bigsugarduck wrote:Well, im no trained official but there were a few super ticky tack fouls againt Oregon players. Notabaly Chavez who has been royally screwed with 3 fouls! Not a fan of the double dribble call on Sabally either..maxduck wrote:Is the officiating as bad as the Oregon Sports radio broadcast indicates?

It's too bad that there's such an obvious drop off in officiating in women's games. I realize that none of these refs could make it as a ref in a men's game, even in the Pac-12 but come on, where do they find these incompetent zebras? This caliber of womens play deserves real refs not just women pretending to be refs who are only there because it's a women's game? It's not fair to the women to have second rate refs. I've seen and worked with better high school referees...maxduck wrote:Is the officiating as bad as the Oregon Sports radio broadcast indicates?

It's a great day to be a Duck. That was some inspiring defense the ladies played in the 2nd half.
Yes, that charge call on Sabally was an incomprehensible display of mind-numbing incompetence. It isn't simply one missed call that can be dismissed by the "they are human, mistakes happen" refrain of the officiating apologist crowd. It was an example of something so obvious (to anyone with a functioning brain) and so egregious (to anyone with even the most rudimentary understanding of the game of basketball) that the official who made that call should be immediately relieved of their duties and never allowed to officiate a game in this conference again. Alas, the status quo will prevail and these inept halfwits will continue to run amok with absolutely no significant consequences for their buffoonery.

They are the best team in the country when at best. OSU is very much gone. Still have Stanford and UCLA to eliminate. But chances look good at moment.bigsugarduck wrote:Huge win. ¹ seed in Portland looking to be nearly locked up...
