6-2 seems like a reasonable hope.Merganzer wrote:One game in to the 2nd half of the conference season, the Ducks are 7-3, first place by a half game. The remaining schedule: @ OSU

That's where I have it too. On offense, w/o a big as a real scoring option, it pretty much comes down to the D causing TO's and creating points off of them, and PP, Duarte hitting their shots. On D, I think a design change is needed. Currently, the Ducks are primarily playing in front of the opponent in the paint, trying to deny the ball. But, eventually, 2 problems: it gets in, and they have an open shot, and 2, if the shot is missed, the Duck defenders are blocked out and we've all screamed about how many OR's the other teams are getting. Changing the plan to staying between your man and the basket might be in order.Tray Dub wrote:6-2 seems like a reasonable hope.Merganzer wrote:One game in to the 2nd half of the conference season, the Ducks are 7-3, first place by a half game. We have to ball pressure or our bigs are toast on defense.Merganzer wrote:That's where I have it too. Bigger issue with scheme is that we switch a lot, which means guards trying to box out opposing bigs.

No Okoro, no Dante.
Dante is soft. Barely banged his knee and out like 3 weeks? Soft on defense too. Kid needs to toughen up.
Hopefully Lawson/Shakur step up.

Are you saying you don't want to see Okoro or Dante play or are they injured and out for the Civil War?GrantDuck wrote:No Okoro, no Dante.

You know they won't. I love watching Pritchard and Duarte but the front court has been a disaster. And the lack of transparency on injuries... I know the Ducks are usually hush hush about these things. But every nock might as well the rest of the season. You find out ten minutes on the Twitter that Dante isn't playing again.GrantDuck wrote:No Okoro, no Dante.

Could be alluding to Gertude Stein's, "There's no there, there" in reference to their production. No reports of any change in their status.OregonFan4Life wrote:Are you saying you don't want to see Okoro or Dante play or are they injured and out for the Civil War?GrantDuck wrote:No Okoro, no Dante.

Altman was quoted today as saying Okoro is out attending his dad's funeral, and Dante is not medically cleared. I think it's a bit harsh to call Dante soft if it's the medical staff that's not clearing him, but what do I know?Merganzer wrote:Could be alluding to Gertude Stein's, "There's no there, there" in reference to their production. Some people just like calling players out even when it's not called for.

Walker and Lawson are such bad defenders, good lord. Lawson doesn't even freakin' try on defense.
If Ruthy Hebard were their size she'd score 30 on them.

Lazy defense and rebounding gets me even more heated than Pac-12 refs.
